Girls LEAD International

Girls in Barbados can choose to LEAD at camp this summer!

Girls completing primary school are invited to learn to lead this summer in a two-week camp. Campers will participate with trained camp counsellors in a variety of activities designed to instill self-confidence and develop leadership potential. In a positive, encouraging, and welcoming environment the Girls LEAD camp will reinforce the principle that girls have the potential to succeed in whatever way they choose.

This is a day camp that develops each girl’s potential by:

Promoting physical and mental health;
Enhancing self-awareness and building self-confidence;
Building positive social skills by connecting with others;
Making change while being true to themselves.

About the camp

Girls LEAD is a two-week summer day camp for girls completing primary school;
Three trained camp counsellors and one Brescia staff member will share activities with 20 girls;
Each day, campers and counsellors will enjoy preparing a healthy lunch;
Dates: July 4-8 and 11-15, 2011, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Selection of Campers

Students will be selected by scores on their 11-plus/Common Entrance Exam, facilitated by the Ministry of Education. Students who are chosen will be sent an invitation letter by the Ministry mid-June. If you do well on your exam you might be one of the 20 girls chosen to develop your potential at a two-week camp.
