Brescia Registration Guide

Brescia 2012-13 Timetable

Full Western Timetable

As a first year student, you will select courses from the 0100-1999 range. The only exception is if you have special permission to enroll in a upper year course or you are enrolling in Spanish 2200.

Preliminary Year Students: must select five courses (or equivalent) from the list of Preliminary Year courses

Step 3: Plan Your Timetable

(a) Using the Timetable Planner, work out a conflict-free timetable. Remember, all full-time students may take a maximum of 5.0 courses. In building your timetable, you may not have an “in-balanced” load. This means that you are restricted to 5.0 courses in each term (Fall and Winter).

(b) Ensure that you have selected a minimum of 3.0 Brescia courses. If your selected courses are offered at Brescia, you are expected to take the course at Brescia. If you are unable to enroll in a Brescia section of a course, you may obtain permission to take the course at King’s, Huron or Western.

Courses that are not offered at Brescia, may be taken at King’s, Huron or Western and do not require permission.

Preliminary Year Students: All courses selected by Preliminary Year students will be taken at Brescia University College. Students must select five courses (or equivalent) from the list of Preliminary Year courses. A number of courses are noted that registration would need to completed through an Academic Advisor at Brescia.

(c) Transfer your conflict-free timetable to the Course Selection Worksheet. Refer to the sample timetable and worksheet. During our Summer Orientation program or your individual academic advising appointment, we will assist you with course selection, building your timetable and course registration.

When filling out the Course Selection Worksheet, be sure to include the following information in the appropriate column:
(i) Subject and Course Number
Example: English 1020E
(ii) You must select the LECTURE component of each course. Some courses may also have a Tutorial or Laboratory. Sample Timetable Planner).
Example: English 1020E 530 (Lecture) = 12192 and 531 (Tutorial) = 12194
or for a course without another component: Family Studies 1020 531 = 12336 (only)
