Letter of Information
The Website @ YourLibrary: A Usability Study Letter of Information
You are invited to participate in a research study that examines how students, staff, and faculty use the Beryl Ivey Library website. We are interested in learning about what pages you visit, what you visit them for, and your opinions on our website. This letter will provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision about whether or not to participate in this study.
All students, faculty, and staff at Brescia University College are invited to participate.
If you choose to participate, you will be asked to fill out a short survey that asks questions about how you use the library websites and your opinions about the website design. The survey will take approximately 5 - 10 minutes to complete. You can fill out the survey online or get a paper copy at the library circulation desk.
There are no known risks to your participation in the study. There are no known benefits to you associated with your participation in this research. Participation in this study is voluntary. You may withdraw from this study at any time with no negative effects. Your confidentiality will be respected and ensured throughout the study. All information will be kept in a secure location, accessible only to the researchers. No identifying information will be published. The researchers may retain and archive the information collected in this study for future research. You do not waive any legal rights by consenting to this research. If you would like to receive a copy of the results at the end of this study, please contact the library staff.
If you choose to participate, you will be entered in a draw to win an Apple iPod Shuffle. The winner of the iPod will be announced once the survey has finished.
Your completion of the survey is indication of your consent to participate.
