Valedictorian - Andra Taylor
The reason I want to represent Brescia as this year’s Valedictorian is plain and simple. I truly LOVE Brescia. The past four years I have spent here have been more amazing than I ever possibly could have imagined. The incredible sense of community we have at this school is incomparable and I know, without a doubt, that it is the people I have had the pleasure of meeting here that truly make this school what it is. Through my classes I have been inspired by so many incredibly smart and driven women (and men too!) who have challenged me to keep up the high academic standards of this college. On the soph team, I was blessed to get to meet some of the craziest, most wonderful, and truly caring girls, who welcomed me into the Brescia community like no other (and for that I am eternally grateful). Additionally, being a part of so many wonderful clubs such as SHEA, NIK, and VON, gave me a great opportunity to meet other students who are just as passionate about representing Brescia and contributing to the London community as I am. As soon to be graduates of Canada’s only all women university we share a special bond that no one quite understands like we do; because Brescia has become more than just our school.
Now that we’re finally done I’m so sad to be saying goodbye to a place that has been so integral to my life; however, I am incredibly excited to be graduating this year with such amazing young women. I believe we all have SO much to be proud of and I would be more than thrilled to stand as this year’s Valedictorian and stand beside each and every one of you as we accept our diplomas (finally!!) and get ready to take on the world!
Magisterial Speaker - Erin Harlton

I completed my first degree (BASc Honours) at University of Guelph in Applied Human Nutrition in 1997. Following that, I embarked on a career in Food Science as a Product Development Technologist, working on developing and refining such products as Salad Dressing and Ice Cream Sauce for a company that provided products to both industry and foodservice. I then moved into a career with a major international commercial dairy product company and was in charge of product development for several yogurt lines. I had the privilege of staying at home with my young family for a few years, and in April, 2012 I will complete my second degree, Master of Science in Foods and Nutrition at Brescia University College.
A special thank you to all of my dedicated preceptors, professors and especially my beautiful family: husband Brett and children Will, Noah and Leila, who make it all possible.
