Requires
One (1) Sustainability Planning/Research Student
The Huron County Planning and Development Department and Huron County Health Unit require 1 (one) sustainability/research student for 35 hours per week, for a time period expected to last approximately 16 weeks, beginning in May 2013. The offices are located in Goderich and Clinton. The student will be located in Clinton with some travel to Goderich.
The student will be involved in assisting with the implementation and coordination of a minimum of 2 priority projects from the Huron County Sustainability Plan, research for development funding applications, document consolidation, community updates, indicator research and community development projects at the Municipal and County levels, data collection for research projects, production of health status reporting and assessment of peer reviewed literature.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a post-secondary sustainability, health, psychology, sociology or related program, preferably at the university level, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of population health is preferred
- Must provide own transportation for work related duties
