Women Making Change Conference Friday 12th March 2010 iWIL, in collaboration with The Circle Women's Centre and Western's Faculty of Education and Department of Women's Studies, will host the third annual Women Making Change Conference on Friday 12 March 2010 at Brescia University College.  WMC is a refereed conference that provides undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to present their academic research related to the theme “women making change.” We encourage students of all disciplines to share papers or presentations originally prepared as class assignments or new work based on continuing or completed projects. More Information       Take the Lead Public Speaking Contest Saturday 10th April 2010 Grand Prize - One year's tuition at Brescia! Participants research and prepare a short speech about women who are catalysts for change in their communities. This contest empowers women in Grades 11 and 12 to be confident when presenting in a public forum – a useful skill to learn for their upcoming university careers. More Information NEW! Degree Major in Dimensions of Leadership Are you interested in studying leadership? Brescia now offers a major in Dimensions of Leadership. This major consists of a core of leadership courses, supported by courses from a range a disciplines such as Psychology, History and Political Science. This major is ideally suited to complement majors in Management and Organizational Studies, Psychology, Community Development, French and other disciplines from the Arts and Social Sciences.
