When Opportunity Knocks...Are You Ready?

As Canada’s women’s college, Brescia is committed to providing opportunities for women to gain knowledge about leadership through its Institute for Women in Leadership (iWIL).This first annual leadership conference explores leadership in two different streams as a way to reach women in various stages of their careers:
- for young women interested in gaining skills in marketing themselves, negotiation, and networking;
- for mid-career women who are seeking to further develop their leadership abilities, and will look at areas such as building successful teams and creating a vision for an organization.
The ideas about leadership to be explored at this conference are:
- the core belief that we have the power to generate pathways to our goals through our actions;
- that belief in ourselves and our visions encourages us to persevere amid adversity;
- that potential is evoked and realized when we connect with others and forge meaningful relationships built upon authenticity and respect.
