Leadership Circles

What are Leadership Circles?              

The intention of the Women’s Leadership Circles is to meet with other women who are interested in developing and expressing their own leadership potential and supporting the leadership potential of other women.

What is the duration of the commitment?     

You would need to make a 7-session commitment to the women in your Circle.  Some leadership circles have continued on for longer times; others have ended after 7 sessions.

How long are the meetings?    

Each Leadership Circle meeting is 2 hours long.

When would the Circle meet?            

It’s up to each group to decide the time/place they want to meet.

How many people in a Circle?    

A group of from 7-9 is ideal.

Where would the meetings take place?

You will need to find your own location.  Many groups meet in their own homes or agencies.  We will provide your group with a list of possible free or inexpensive locations to meet throughout London. 

How do we start a Circle?               

Each Women’s Leadership Circle will be provided with a Booklet that outlines the 7 sessions and guides the process with questions and exercises.  Usually the leadership of the group rotates so each woman gets a chance to facilitate or co-facilitate a circle gathering. 

Circle Agreements include confidentiality, listening to each other with compassion and curiosity, asking each other for what we need and offering what we can. 

What expenses would be incurred?        

This can range from free to whatever the group determines.  Typically a group finds a free location and provides their own snacks.  If monies are needed for daycare, snacks, bus tickets, etc., you can contact The Circle at Brescia to apply for a small bursary to cover individual or group expenses.
