Can I donate over the telephone?
Yes, VISA or MasterCard donations can be made by calling 519-858-5005 or 1-877-635-8534.
I made a donation, but I have not received my tax receipt. Who do I call?
Please contact the Foundation Office at 519-858-5005 or 1-877-635-8534 or e-mail brescia.foundation@uwo.ca.
Does my gift qualify for charitable credit against my Canadian income taxes?
Yes. Brescia University Foundation is a registered Canadian Charity. Our Charitable Registration number is 88820 6646 RR0001.
If I live outside the country, is my gift still tax deductible?
If you have a Canadian taxable income, your tax credits may be applied to offset tax on that income as if you were a resident of Canada. If you are a US resident, your gift may still achieve full IRS Deduction status.
What if I don't want to be publicly recognized for my gift?
We will respect the wishes of any donors who prefer to give without recognition. At your request, we will keep your donation anonymous.
Will the Foundation send out cards in honour or in memory of an individual?
Yes. Our donors often give in memory or in honour of their friends or loved ones. When a donation is made, we send out a card to the family or individual that is being honoured, acknowledging your generous donation.
What is the Brescia Fund?
The Brescia Fund is a collection of unrestricted funds that we can draw upon to respond to immediate student needs. Examples include: bursaries, scholarships, awards, project materials and classroom equipment. Undesignated funds give Brescia the flexibility to respond to unanticipated needs and to seize unexpected opportunities throughout the year.
Who is calling me on behalf of Brescia?
The Brescia Foundation employs more than 10 energetic students to call alumnae in the fall each year. Current students enjoy the chance to hear the stories of alumnae, and many alumnae are interested to hear about the Brescia experience today.
