Annual Giving
As part of our Annual Fund Campaign, we recently sent out more than 5400 letters to alumnae and parents asking for support. We wanted donors to hear about the impact their gifts can have, so we asked some bold Brescia women to share their stories about the difference bursaries and scholarships have made in their lives.
Tara Winters, a fourth-year student at Brescia, says financial assistance has not only made it possible for her to attend school, but has given her and her young son a future she had never dreamed was possible. Click here for Tara’s story
As an international student, Di Shen pays more than three times the amount of tuition than local students to attend Brescia and relies on assistance to help offset the cost. Coming to Brescia, she says, has definitely been worth the financial challenges. Click here for Di’s story
Lauren Starr ‘04 is a young alumna facing the same challenges as many other recent graduates, juggling a new career, family, and other responsibilities. As a scholarship winner, she also knows how important it is to encourage and reward deserving students so she also makes it a priority to give back to Brescia in any way she can. Jennifer Broxterman ’09 was named this year’s Sister Mary Lou McKenzie Young Alumnae Award of Merit recipient for her many achievements since graduation. Reunion Giving
Reunions are some of the happiest times at Brescia. As an alumna, you remember what it’s like to be a student. As you reflect on the powerful presence the College has been in your life, you may wonder how you can give back. Brescia's Reunion Campaign is a way to not only celebrate these milestones in your life, but to also give back in a meaningful way.
During your reunion year, please consider making a special gift and inspire your classmates to do the same.
Legacy Giving
Legacy giving is about the future. Your future. And Brescia’s future. If you feel strongly that Brescia should exist to educate and empower students for future generations, consider leaving a legacy gift. There are many types of legacy gifts, but the most common are bequests. To learn more about legacy giving and to see if it is the right fit for you, please read our Legacy Giving Brochure.
If you have already included Brescia in your will or are planning to make a legacy gift to Brescia, let us know by downloading the Statement of Expectancy Form. The form can be completed and mailed to: Brescia University College Foundation, 1285 Western Road, London, Ontario, N6G 1H2.
Memorial and Tribute Gifts
You can make a memorial gift to Brescia to honour the memory of a friend or loved one, or pay tribute to someone on a special occasion, such as a birthday, anniversary, or graduation. A card will be sent to the honouree or family member on your behalf.
We would be happy to help you celebrate the people who are an important part of your life.
Giving Circles
This new initiative is a way for you to gather some friends together to raise money for special projects at Brescia. We provide you with a toolkit to get you started and give you advice along the way. Giving circles are meant to be flexible and fun, and fill tangible needs at the College. The very first giving circle raised more than $2,500 to purchase kitchen utensils for the food laboratory!
Employee Giving
Brescia University College has a strong philanthropic community. Our employees believe in women’s education, value our students, and want Brescia to be the best place it can be – the university college of choice for women students.
Payroll donation is the easiest way for you to join your colleagues in building Brescia’s future.
If you would like more information about Employee Giving, view the brochure now. If you are currently giving to Brescia and would like to update your information, please fill out the Employee Payroll Deduction Update Form and return it to the Foundation office in Ursuline Hall via inter-campus mail.
Third-Party Events
A third-party event is an activity designed to raise funds for the support of Brescia University College that is planned, implemented and financed by individuals, or organizations outside of Brescia. In addition to raising funds to benefit Brescia, these events serve a vital role by raising awareness about the College and its mission.

Gifts of Securities
There have been important changes to the taxation of charitable gifts of securities. It is now even more tax-advantageous for you to make a gift of stock rather than cash.
If this method works for you, the easiest way to make a gift of stock is to have the shares electronically transferred from your account to the Brescia Foundations's account. The receipt value is for the closing trading price on the day that the shares are received into the account. Click here for the form.
