The Circle Women's Centre at Brescia University College
1285 Western Road, London, Ontario, Canada N6G 1H2
Telephone: (519) 432-8353 ext. 28288
The Circle is open from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm**.
** due to our limited staff, we can not guarantee these hours. At times, we may be required to attend meetings in different locations on campus, necessitating the closing of the centre for those hours. If you would like to visit the centre, give us a quick call to confirm that we will be in the space.
The Circle organizes our centre, events and programs through the contributions of many volunteers, through The Circle director and with the help of students within Brescia's work-study program. We embrace co-creative and mutually empowering forms of leadership and therefore our operations are guided through a variety of "working circles" and "event circles." We feel that each voice at the table is of great value and creates a richer, more dynamic outcome from a diversity of opinions, thoughts and ideas. We begin each meeting with ritual and/or reflection and use a consenseus-based, circle model for decision making. If you would like to explore volunteering for one of our working circle or events, please email us or give us a call at 519-432-8353 ext. 28288.
Working Circles consist of women who volunteer for our working circles commit to monthly meetings throughout the year. Event Circles gather volunteers for a limited period of time ( 2 months or so) to organize individual events.
Kim joined the staff of The Circle in 2001 and has held the director's position since 2005. She is also proud to be an employee of Brescia University College - the only women's university in Canada. If you would like to contact Kim, you can reach her at firstname.lastname@example.org or 519-432-8353 ext. 28385
