Work Study

Work Study Eligibility

Fall/Winter Program for Ontario Residents

To be eligible you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident and;
  • Be registered at Brescia University College and;
  • Be taking a minimum 60% course load or a 40% course load if you have a permanent disability and;
  • Have applied to OSAP for financial need and to determine provincial residency and;
  • Be in good standing in the OSAP program and;
  • Meet academic standards with the University and OSAP and;
  • Demonstrate financial need.

Brescia students interested in Work Study positions must apply at Brescia through the Business Office. Once your application is approved, you can apply for one of the positions available at the college.

 

Fall/Winter Program for International Students and Students from Other Provinces (A limited program exists for international students/students from other Canadian provinces studying at Brescia)

To be eligible you must:

  • Be an international student or student studying at Brescia from another Canadian province or territory and;
  • Be taking a minimum of 60% of a full course load and;
  • Demonstrate financial need through the application process and;
  • Meet academic standards with the University and;
  • Apply for government student aid through your home province if you are not living in Ontario.

Summer Work Study Program for Summer Students

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be registered in at least one full credit during the spring/summer session or a course of study as determined to be at least 60% course load by the Summer OSAP program and a minimum of 6 weeks in length and;
  • Must have applied for summer OSAP or summer government student aid through your home province and;
  • Have demonstrated financial need through the application review process and;
  • Be in good standing in the OSAP program and;
  • Meet academic standards with the University and/or OSAP/government student aid and;
  • Not be working in any other Summer Work Study Program/Summer Employment Program at the University of Western Ontario through Student Financial Services, or any other affiliated college while employed under the Brescia Work Program.

Open to international students on a limited basis. International students must also be:

  • Registered in at least one full credit during the spring/summer session and;
  • Have demonstrated financial need through the application review process and;
  • Meet academic standards with the University and;
  • Not be working in any other Summer Work Study Program/Summer Employment Program at the University of Western Ontario through Student Financial Services, or any other affiliated college while employed under the Brescia Work Program.
