Upper-Year Scholarships
This page outlines the upper-year scholarships and awards available to students returning to Brescia University College after their first year. Information for prospective students can be found on the Admission Scholarships and Awards page.
Each year returning Brescia students are eligible to receive the following upper year awards. Some are automatically awarded and some require applications. Please click on the categories below to find out more about these scholarships, awards, and bursaries:
Continuing Admission Scholarships
Foods and Nutrition - BScFN and MScFN - Application Required
Brescia University Students' Council
Continuing Admission Scholarships
Students who have received a continuing admission scholarship are eligible to retain this scholarship to a maximum of four years (at the same annual value). In order to retain this scholarship, students must:
- Remain registered at Brescia
- Enroll in and complete 5.0 courses in the previous Fall-Winter session.
- Maintain an 80% average on these courses
Automatic Assessment
The following scholarships, awards and bursaries are awarded by the Registrar's Office automatically and do not require an application.
Important Notes:
- Student recipients of the following scholarships, awards and bursaries will be notified by October 18th by email to their uwo account from the Dean's Office and will be presented to the student at the Awards Reception on November 4th.
- Number Awarded and Value of the Awards are based on 2011 disbursements and may change for the 2012-2013 Academic Year.

The following scholarships, awards and bursaries require you to fill out an application and/or submit a letter to the Registrar.
Instructions for Letter to the Registrar
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- You can quickly assess the criteria, and whether or not you qualify, for each of the scholarships, awards, and bursaries below by looking at the Key Qualifiers column:
- F indicates Financial Need
- F* indicates Financial Need and that applicants must also meet provincial residency requirements as set out by the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)
- A indicates Academic Requirements
- E indicates Experience
- Values are based on 2011 amounts awarded and on total amount available. In the case of more than one recipient, the value will be divided accordingly.
- Student recipients of the following scholarships and awards will be notified by October 17th by email to their uwo account from the Dean's Office and will be presented to the student at the Awards Reception on November 4th.
- Student recipients of the following bursaries will be notified by the Financial Aid Officer by November 30th.
