The Centre for Leadership is led by Dr. Marlene Janzen Le Ber, Full Professor of Leadership Studies and former Chair of the School of Leadership & Social Change. With more than 20 years of senior leadership experience, Dr. Janzen Le Ber has a deep passion for the mobilization and inclusion of women in leadership in every industry and public sphere. Thanks to her expertise in collective leadership practices, intersectionality and social innovation, she is the right choice to lead the Centre to success.

Diversity of thought makes a difference at Brescia; we teach our students to discover and embrace the full range of their potential to transform the world. We are the ideal place to springboard a Centre for Leadership dedicated to conducting research, building collaborations with organizations and communities, and developing future leaders.
We know the barriers of unconscious bias, stereotypes and other causes of discrimination in leadership; however, more research is needed to determine how best to remove these barriers to leadership for those facing gender and intersectional discrimination.
Our mission is nothing less than ultimately dismantling traditional power structures and championing collective and inclusive leadership that moves organizations and societies towards a more just and equitable future for diverse women.
