Brescia University College Presents the Inaugural BresciaLEAD Awards Featuring Keynote Speaker Geena Davis

London, ON – On Thursday, April 7th, Brescia University College will honour the inaugural BresciaLEAD Award winners at the London Convention Centre. These national awards recognize three exceptional women leaders and one organization that embody Brescia’s values of leading with wisdom, justice and compassion in a changing world.

The BresciaLEAD Award recipients being recognized in four distinct categories are:

  • Lifetime Award – Carol Stephenson, O.C. (Presented to a woman who has demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout her lifetime)
  • Emerging Award – Maya Burhanpurkar (Presented to a woman with a new and innovative voice, currently making an impact on her community)
  • Activist Award – Tzeporah Berman (Presented to a woman with an unwavering commitment to social justice, who has applied creative thinking to solve problems)
  • Distinction Award – Royal Bank of Canada (Presented to an organization which creates conditions and empowers women to be successful at building their careers and thriving in positions of leadership)

In addition to celebrating outstanding women leaders, the event will also feature keynote speaker Academy Award winning actor and gender equality advocate Geena Davis.
