Tuition, Fees, and Funding

Students in the MScFN Practicum-based program are enrolled in, and pay tuition for 5 terms (including the 3 terms of practicum). MScFN Tuition fees can be found on the Western University Graduate Studies website. Tuition and fees are set by the Board of Governors of Western University and are subject to change every year.

Students in the MScFN Practicum-based program should prepare to pay additional practicum related fees, such as immunizations, police checks with vulnerable sector screening, practicum related training and learning materials, placement transportation and/or relocation costs, professional membership costs, professional attire.

Applicants are encouraged to apply for the Canada Graduate Scholarship - Masters and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship - Masters (if eligible). Deadlines, application information and the application handbook are available through the Western Graduate Studies website at:

Course Assistant Work Opportunities

Students enrolled in the first two terms of the MScFN Practicum-based program may apply to work as a Course Assistant. Students will be notified about Course Assistant opportunities by email during the the first week of their program.

Research Related Expenses

Subject to budgetary approval every MScFN student receives research support funding in their first and second year of the program. Funds are managed by the Faculty Research Supervisor and are to be used for research related expenses including presenting research at conferences. 

The MScFN Practicum-based program is an OSAP eligible program.
