Graduation Information

Students must maintain a cumulative average of at least 70% calculated each term over all courses taken for credit, with no grade less than 60%, and complete all milestones required for the program, as outlined under curriculum

Apply to Graduate

Students must apply to graduate during the last term of their program online through the Student Center. Once you login, under "Menu” choose “Self Service” then “Graduation” and then “Apply for Graduation”. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your application. After Graduation

Graduates of the MScFN Practicum-based program have the advanced credentials needed to meet the increasingly complex requirements of institutional or other dietetic professional settings. Our graduates have found employment in all sectors including hospitals, community health centres, family health teams, Aboriginal health access centres, long-term care, food industry and foodservice management companies.

With a Master's degree and extensive research knowledge and abilities, MScFN graduates have the advantage of bringing advanced research skills and a capacity for leadership to their dietetic profession.

Graduates may also continue on in education by enrolling in PhD programs and/or teaching at universities and colleges.
