Bridging Week
If you are an incoming Brescia student from outside of Ontario, this program is designed just for you! International and out-of-province students are welcome to participate in this unique opportunity to explore campus, the London community and engage in activities that support your transition to university life.
Registration is now open
During the program, you will:
- Attend workshops and mock lectures
- Learn about Canadian culture, student services and university classroom expectations
- Explore Brescia and Western’s campuses
- Setup a bank account, Western email, student ID and London Transit bus pass
Important dates:
- July 31, 2023: Registration deadline
- August 26, 2023: Bridging Program welcome PIZZA PARTY
- August 29, 2023: Bridging Program begins (1st official day of Bridging)
- September 2, 2023: Bridging Program Ends
- September 5th, 2023: Classes begin after Labour Day
Students may wish to arrive August 26th – 30th to settle into Clare Hall Residence. Lissette Ochoa, Coordinator of International Programs and Global Education will be in connection with you over the summer to help answer any questions you may have.
At Brescia, we believe Bridging Week is a family event! We invite family members accompanying you on-campus to attend separate workshops designed to demonstrate life in London and at Brescia. Your guardian must make their own, separate accommodation arrangements and incur any additional costs for meals and excursions. Please let me know if you have questions.
Cost
The Bridging Program costs $475 this year which covers transportation, on-campus meals, and activity fees. This will be included in your tuition payment.
