It’s about following the policy re-designing the system

Brescia students develop skills to apply their knowledge and experience so they can interpret information, think critically and evaluate the policy to help redesign systems.

It's about our students using their critical thinking and valuing skills, to look at the policy and revise it to create effective, positive change.

Q&A

Meet one of Brescia's recent graduates, Flora Wang ('21). Discover how Flora leads together through exploration and celebration of cultures and traditions across the world.

  1. World icon

On a global scale, how are you demonstrating leadership?

From a global perspective, I think it is critical to be sensitive to cultural diversity while recognizing that your culture and background may be different. When I organize activities for International Bridging or international prgramming, I usually focus on understanding students' respective backgrounds (culture, characteristics, experience, etc.) to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event.

  2. Education icon

What are your beliefs about Brescia’s all-women’s learning environment?

As an international student at Brescia, I learned the differences of women's positioning, expectations and leadership in different cultures. These learnings at Brescia have built my confidence to be successful in the future, whatever career I choose.

  3. Advice icon

What advice would you give to Brescia students who want to lead boldly?

Don't be afraid to share your ideas and experiences with others. Brescia students come from different countries and cultures, and maybe something that seems "normal" to you is something that helps others expand their horizons and deepen their understanding.

  4. Leading together icon

How do you choose to lead together in your community?

I choose to lead together in my community though my interest and advocacy in cultures from around the world. Our differences make us unique and we all have something we can learn from each other.
