Brescia offers many scholarships, awards, and bursaries available to both new and returning Brescia students. Some awards and scholarships are automatically awarded, while others require time to review eligibility and complete applications. The eligibility criteria for each award can be found in the descriptions below.

Note that no student will receive Brescia scholarship or award monies (excluding bursary monies) in excess of the individual student's tuition per academic year

Automatic Awards

The scholarships listed below are automatic and guaranteed based on final admission averages, as calculated by Brescia. Entrance scholarships are renewable in subsequent years if students maintain an 80% average on 5.0 courses taken concurrently in the September to April term while registered at Brescia.

Transfer
The CAAT and CEGEP scholarships are automatic and guaranteed to students applying from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology (CAAT) or a Collège d’Enseignement Général et Professionnel (CEGEP) and who will be pursuing full-time studies at Brescia in their first year. These scholarships are renewable in subsequent years if students maintain an 80% average on 5.0 courses taken concurrently in the September to April term while registered at Brescia University.

Automatic Program Awards
Students must be entering Year 1 of the specific program from secondary school to qualify for program based awards and must be registered in full-time studies (5.0 courses). These awards are automatic and come with an offer of admission (if applicant is eligible), and can be held in conjunction with a Brescia Entrance scholarship.

Application Based Awards

Students may submit applications for the awards below. These awards may be held in conjunction with an Entrance scholarship. Arts and Humanities students must be registered in 2.0 Arts and Humanities courses at Brescia to be eligible.

International President’s Award

Purpose
Brescia University College recognizes the contributions that students make to their schools and communities. The purpose of this award is to support new incoming international students in pursuing their undergraduate education at Brescia.
The Award

The recipients of the International President’s Award will receive:

  • Up to $5,000 for an incoming undergraduate student and up to $2500 for an incoming preliminary year student to apply towards academic tuition for the 2024-2025 academic year
  • January Start Students (incoming Year 1 undergraduate or Preliminary Year student) will receive half of the award to be applied to the January term and the other half of the award to be applied to the following September term
Eligibility Requirement
  • Applicants must be a new incoming student to Brescia entering Year 1 undergraduate or preliminary year and paying international fees
  • Applicants must meet minimum admission requirements for their program.
  • Applicants are asked to provide information about their extracurricular involvement in school, as well as volunteer and leadership positions they have held in their community.
  • Applicants must be registered as full-time students at Brescia University College paying full-time international tuition fees.

Deadline: January Start students November 15th, 2023.
