Establishing, developing and advancing the work of Canada’s only women’s university is a bold endeavor and would not have been possible without the remarkable courage of Brescia’s dedicated leaders. In 1920, Mother St. Anne Lachance charted a strong course for Brescia, becoming the University’s first leader (then known as Dean). Since then, twelve distinguished women have held the role of Principal and have made a lasting mark on the University’s campus and community.
