Dr. Lauretta Frederking joined Brescia on July 1, 2018.
As Vice-Principal and Academic Dean, Dr. Frederking oversees all faculty teaching and research portfolios, as well as has responsibility for Library Services and the Advanced Learning and Teaching (ALT) Centre at Brescia.
She began teaching at Washington University also teaching at St. Louis University and then moved to Portland where she served as a faculty member, department chair and then Associate Provost at the University of Portland.
Dr. Frederking holds a BA from the University of Toronto (Political Science), MA from Columbia University (Political Science) and a PhD from Washington University in St. Louis (Political Science).
Marianne has been a member of the Brescia community since 1997.
Her areas of responsibility include: Recruitment; Admissions; Student Affairs; Residence; and Campus Ministry. Marianne holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and an MBA in Educational Administration from Royal Roads University.
Prior to joining Brescia, Marianne held a number of student-facing and leadership positions within the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen’s University. Her career began at Brescia in student recruitment, with a subsequent appointment to Registrar in 2003. Marianne is committed to supporting student success within her current portfolio, which encompasses all stages of the student life cycle.
Karla joined Brescia in November of 2019. Her areas of responsibility include the Finance & Administration portfolio, which encompass Facilities, IT, Conference Services, Food Services, HR and the Business Office.
Karla comes to Brescia with 20 years of not-for-profit experience and has held various local positions since moving to London in the fall of 2002.
Heather Hurst joined Brescia in January of 2019. Her areas of responsibility include both the Advancement and Alumnae Relations portfolios.
Heather comes to Brescia with over 30 years of senior management and strategic fundraising experience and leadership in the health care sector.
