The ALT Centre recognizes that different pedagogies create different approaches to online teaching. But you don’t need to navigate course design on your own! Peer Communities enable you to discuss curriculum decisions with colleagues familiar with your course content or teaching strategy.
Peer communities are self-guided groups, organized around a common pedagogy or course subject area. While each peer community creates unique goals, the overarching purpose is to approach online course design as a group, whether that’s investigating eLearning technologies, or creating and sharing common resources.
A Dean’s Team member familiar with your theme will facilitate your first meeting, where you will create group goals and set a meeting schedule.
