Remembrance Day

Brescia University College

Each year, Brescia University College honours and remembers those who bravely served our country to ensure peace during times of war and conflict. On November 11^th 2020, we invite our community to observe a moment of silence at 11 a.m. in recognition of those who sacrificed everything so that we may live in peace and harmony.

The Brescia community is also encouraged to view the London Remembrance Day Ceremony, which will be held at the London Cenotaph in Victoria Park on November 11, 2020. Brescia’s Director of Campus Ministry, Catherinanne George will be the Remembrance Day Chaplain, leading prayers and reflections for this special ceremony, which will be broadcast and streamed on Rogers TV and CTV London. Padre Lt(N) Catherinanne George, CD is the Acting Senior Naval Reserve Chaplain, Central Region Chaplain (Ontario) and Chaplain to Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship Prevost. She is the first woman to hold a position of Regional Chaplain within the Naval Reserves, and the first woman to hold the national position of Acting Senior Naval Reserve Chaplain.
