Our world is changing. Women, from all walks of life, are discovering gaps in how our world currently operates and identifying new avenues for a more accessible and equitable way of living. We recognize that it’s one thing to discover a gap, but it's another choice one must make, to challenge our current state of affairs to make impactful change for women everywhere.

On March 8th, 2021, in honour of International Women’s Day, Brescia University College proudly presents the fourth annual Dr. Colleen Hanycz Leadership Lecture:

CHOOSE TO CHALLENGE:
Finding Common Ground Through Dialogue
Featuring keynote address by Olympian, activist and broadcaster,
Waneek Horn-Miller

Recognizing the power of diverse women’s voices in impacting inclusion and change, this inspiring evening of dialogue will also include a panel discussion with Brescia alumnae Joëlle Kabisoso and Dr. Christy R. Bressette, moderated by Dr. Marlene Janzen Le Ber, Chair of Brescia's School of Leadership & Social Change.

Additionally, Brescia is also honoured to welcome London, Ontario’s first Poet Laureate, Penn Kemp, to present a live reading of Brescia’s inaugural International Women’s Day poem.

Whether you are looking for tangible ways to challenge the status quo, or hoping to engage in an evening of inspiring dialogue, we hope you will join us at this empowering event taking place virtually from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m.
