Health/Dental Opt-Out

-As part of your mandatory Ancillary fees, any student registered in 3.5 courses or more is charged for a Health/Dental Plan offered through PurpleCare. Coverage begins September 1 through August 31 of the following year.

-If a student already has an equivalent extended health/dental plan, they can opt-out at PurpleCare and follow the instructions listed under the “Enrollment Options” section and upload proof of alternative health coverage. Extensions and late opt out are not available. Deadline: the opt-out deadline is September 23^rd, 2022. For students who successfully opt-out, the fee will be reimbursed and credited to your Brescia Student Statement in late October. 

-The PurpleCare plan is one of the most comprehensive student health plans in the country. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the wide offering of supports and services covered throughout the year, including access to mental health support resources through the myWellness program.
