Brescia Homecoming 2022: Day 2

Homecoming is a time-honoured tradition that brings everyone together to celebrate what it means to be part of the Brescia community.

We are extremely excited to welcome alumnae back to campus for an in-person event this year. Virtual programming will also be offered for those that are unable to join us on campus.

Day 2:

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Campus Tours

Campus has changed a great deal over the last number of years. Be sure to take some time to allow an Ambassador to lead you on a campus tour and introduce you to the amazing new facilities available to our students.

Location: Tours will depart from the Bottega inside Clare Hall

10:00 a.m. - Still Hopeful - A book discussion with Chancellor Maude Barlow

Join Chancellor Maude Barlow for intimate gathering and conversation. She will share exerpts from her latest book, Still Hopeful, and answer questions from thoses in attendance.

Be sure to pick up your copy of Still Hopeful from a local bookstore near you ahead of the event and bring it to Homecoming to be signed by the author!

The book is also available to purchase online.

Location: Community Room, Academic Pavilion

11:30 a.m. - Community Open House & Lunch

Gather alongside fellow alumnae, staff, faculty and students for a community lunch in the new Academic Pavilion. 

Location: Room 2005, Academic Pavilion
Cost: Free for alumnae, additional guests $10

1:00 p.m. - Western Mustangs Football Game

Join us in a private Brescia/King's tent in the Mustang Corral at TD Stadium and watch the Western Mustangs football team take on the Waterloo Warriors. Free parking will be available at Brescia, and the group will walk down to TD Stadium together.

Cost: $35, cash bar on site

3:30 p.m. - Rheo Thompson Chocolate Tasting

Join alumna and owner of Rheo Thompson Candies, Kristene Steed '93, alongside Dr. Sharareh Hekmat, to learn about how chocolate is made and what makes the flavour profiles. 
Register early as the event is has limited capacity.

Location: Food Lab 1001, Academic Pavilion
Cost: $10, incudes various chocolate samples & beverages
