Crucifixion Tableau

Crucifixion Tableau

Donated by the Cunningham Family in 1933, the Crucifixion Tableau has been for nearly a century a source of hope and a spiritual haven for countless people who laid their sufferings and joys at its foot.

A sign of particular hope amidst the pandemic, tableauit was during this time that it received new legs and new life.

First placed on the Brescia property boundary in 1933 (across what was known as the Fram Lands), during a special Holy Year - and during the Great Depression - the Crucifixion Tableau was donated by the Cunningham Family, the parents and family of Sr. Gertrude.

Over the years, many friends of the Tableau searched for a way to repair it, and we are grateful for those who gave so generously of themselves to advance and complete this restoration.

It is with great gratitude that we celebrate the Spirit moving so powerfully amidst usamidst those who passed by the Tableau, those who prayed at its foot, and all those who sought to find a way to restore itstudents, faculty, staff, and administration from many diverse areas of the Brescia, Huron, Kings and Western campus communities, and members of the broader community.

The Tableau has been a spiritual haven for many since the Great Depression and will continue to be this sign of hope for generations to come through the generosity of those who have lent their support to this kairos moment!
