Masters Graduation Information

Students must maintain a cumulative average of at least 70% calculated each term over all courses taken for credit, with no grade less than 60%. Students must make satisfactory progress towards the degree according to milestones set by the program.

Apply to Graduate

Students must apply to graduate during the begninning of the last term of their program online through their Student Center. This initiates the final audit of the student's academic record. A student who fails to do this will not have their transcript updated to indicated that they have graduated. Once  logged in to the Student Center, under "Menu” choose “Self Service” then “Graduation” and then “Apply for Graduation”. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the application.

After Graduation

Graduates of the MScFN Thesis-based program have fulfilling careers in research with organizations such as private corporations, government agencies, health charities, research management agencies, medical institutions, and in academia.

Graduates may also continue on in education by enrolling in PhD programs or teaching at universities and colleges.

Graduates of the program who have already been working in dietetic practice have the advantage of bringing advanced research skills and a capacity for leadership back to their profession.
