Student Resources

Students in the MScFN program benefit from resources and services at both Brescia University College and Western University, with these campuses just a short walk from one another. This includes Student Health Services, social activities, wellness and special interest activities, libraries, and workspaces. Some of the special areas reserved for Graduate students are noted below, and students are provided a full list of spaces, services, and supports for Grad students during their program orientation.

Graduate Student Office & Group Study Spaces

Located in Ursuline Hall at Brescia University College.

The main office includes four areas where grad students can find a place to work and relax, with secure storage space for research or other items. Students are also provided with a separate space for group or project work.

Mercato & Starbucks

Located on Brescia’s Campus in Clare Hall, the Mercato is an amazing dining hall with nutritious meals served daily.

The dinning hall includes a lounge area and a patio. There is also a Starbucks within the Mercato.

Western University Gym Access

As a Brescia student you have access to Western University's Campus Recreation Centre.

They offer a fully equipped gym, aquatics, intramurals, group fitness, cycling, skating, jogging, and other services.

Society of Graduate Students & Grad Club

The Society of Graduate Students (SOGS) at Western Unviersity is a student government and advocacy organization run by Graduate students, to provide support to Graduate students. Visit their website to learn more about how SOGS can support you during your Graduate student journey. 

The Grad Club is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SOGS that provides a safe place for the responsible consumption of alcohol, with excellent food options available, in an atmosphere conducive to the academic and social interests of all graduate students. Enjoy weekly social events ranging from trivia to live music at Western's Grad Club.

Multiple Libraries

Take advantage of the numerous libraries available to students throughout the Western Campus, including affiliates (Brescia, King’s, and Huron).
